Consulate in Hobart
Provides consular services for Tasmania. No passport applications.
Honorary Consul
Mr G. (George) Huizing
Opening hours
Wednesdays only: 8.30 am - 2.00 pm
Please note!
From 21 September 2009 the Netherlands - in line with all other EU
countries - will issue passports in which besides an electronic
passport photograph, finger prints will also be recorded. For this
purpose the Dutch government has decided to equip the major
honorary consulates with the necessary hardware (see for more
information under News).
Unfortunately this does not apply to Hobart. The Honorary Consulate
in Hobart will not be equipped with biometric hardware. This means
that from 10 September 2009 it is no longer possible to lodge a
passport application there. Dutch nationals in Tasmania will
have to go to one of the other Dutch representations in Australia
equipped with biometric hardware (Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra,
Sydney, Brisbane or Perth).
